Malhara House sits in Jaipur, in the Pink City of Rajasthan. The architecture is distinctive even by Jaipur's standards: a circular form built in white marble, crowned by a domed sanctum and a winged statue. Carved arches, an internal balcony, marble flooring, and ornamental detailing draw on the Rajasthani heritage tradition.

The venue is privately held and operated as an exclusive booking-only photography venue. There are no walk-ins. There are no other couples on site during a shoot. The house, the gardens, the rooftop, and the Grand Hall are all prepared for the booked party alone.

The gardens.

Mature trees and well-tended planting frame the marble façade. The columned porch and the carved Rajasthani arches form one of the most-photographed compositions on the property.

The garden offers the natural, golden-hour light that defines romantic outdoor portraiture. The arches double as a frame for the green columnar cypresses and the seasonal flowers.

The Grand Hall.

The interior of the house is built around a circular Grand Hall, with an internal balcony running the full perimeter of the upper floor. Marble underfoot, carved arches above, and ornate hardwood double doors completing the room.

The Hall is naturally lit through the day, with the dome above acting as a soft diffuser. It is the venue's most distinctive setting, and the most requested by couples wanting classical Indian wedding portraiture.

The rooftop & chatri.

A flight of marble stairs leads to the roof terrace, home to an exclusive chatri pavilion and the dome of the house. The view extends across the Pink City and out to the Aravalli Hills beyond.

The rooftop is best at sunrise and sunset, when the marble takes on a warm wash and the city skyline lights up. For couples wanting a single signature image of their pre-wedding shoot, this is where it tends to happen.
